Centro Cultural Recoleta is a multi-purpose cultural center located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Founded in 1992, the center hosts a wide range of activities, from classical and contemporary music concerts, to theater performances, art exhibitions, and film screenings. The building is owned by the City of Buenos Aires, and managed by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina.
The building itself is a former convent, built in the late 19th century, and has been declared a National Historic Monument. It houses a large theater, several galleries, a library, a cafe, and a number of workshops and educational spaces. The theater hosts a wide variety of performances, from classical music concerts to avant-garde theater productions. The galleries feature art exhibitions, with a focus on Latin American and Argentinian art.
The library offers a wide selection of books, both in Spanish and English, as well as a number of periodicals and other publications. The cafe has a large selection of drinks and snacks, and provides a cozy atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying the cultural activities of the center. Centro Cultural Recoleta is also home to a number of educational spaces, including a children's theater and workshops for young people.
